
LAHORE: Federal Minister for Religious Affairs, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, announced that 90,000 Pakistanis will perform Hajj this year under the official government scheme.
During a press conference in Lahore, Yousaf shared details about the upcoming pilgrimage. He confirmed that the Hajj flight operations under the government scheme will begin on April 29.
Pilgrimage Preparations in Full Swing
The Minister highlighted that preparations for Hajj, including vaccination and training, are progressing smoothly. He stated that all necessary arrangements are in place for the pilgrims’ health and safety.
Hajj training sessions will start on April 8. Pilgrims will receive detailed briefings about health protocols, including mandatory vaccinations. These sessions will help ensure that all pilgrims are fully prepared for the journey.
Cost of Hajj Packages
The Minister also disclosed the cost of this yearās Hajj packages. The short-term pilgrimage package will cost Rs11,50,000, while the long-term package will be priced at Rs10,50,000.

Saudi Arabia Cooperation
Yousaf further mentioned that he had met with Saudi officials to inspect Hajj arrangements in the country. The meetings aimed to ensure that the pilgrimage will run smoothly for all Pakistani pilgrims.

Umrah Visa Suspension
The Minister also clarified that Umrah visas are usually suspended ahead of the Hajj season. This measure is taken to streamline the operations and ensure that all resources are focused on Hajj pilgrimage activities.
