
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has called on the interim Taliban government in Kabul to fulfill its responsibilities under the Doha Agreement and stop cross-border terrorism from Afghan soil. Speaking in London on Sunday, the PM urged Afghan rulers to rein in terrorist groups such as Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), who he said were actively operating from Afghanistan and targeting innocent civilians inside Pakistan.
Message to Kabul: Stop Terror from Afghan Soil
Talking to the media outside Avenfield flats, Shehbaz Sharif expressed frustration over repeated cross-border attacks originating from Afghanistan. He emphasized that Pakistan wants peaceful and friendly relations with its western neighbor but cannot tolerate terrorist activity that threatens national security.
āAfghanistan is a brotherly country and our neighbor by nature,ā the PM stated. āWe have asked their interim government repeatedly to ensure Afghan territory is not used against Pakistan, However in line with the Doha agreement. Sadly, groups like the TTP continue to operate from there and kill innocent people in Pakistan. These sacrifices will not go in vain.ā

Diplomatic Engagements in Belarus
Shifting focus to international cooperation, Shehbaz highlighted his recent visit to Belarus. He described the trip as productive, with both countries exploring ways to collaborate in agriculture and mining. He said Belarus has advanced machinery that could assist Pakistan in developing its vast mineral resources.
āWe had meaningful discussions with the Belarusian leadership,ā the PM shared. āPakistan has abundant natural resources, and Belarus can support us with technology and machinery. In conclusion We even visited a factory and talked about sending 150,000 skilled Pakistani workers to Belarus. An understanding is in place.ā
Economic Recovery and Development Vision
In response to questions about governance and development speed, the Prime Minister stated that the famous āPunjab speedā under his leadership is now being applied at the national level. He referred to this pace as āSupreme Pakistan Speed,ā focused on rebuilding the countryās economy and infrastructure.
āUnder Nawaz Sharifās vision, we are driving Pakistan forward. This is a new Pakistanāprogressing, advancing, and moving toward prosperity,ā he said. āWeāve saved Pakistan from economic default through collective efforts and prayers of the people. Our mission is to protect and rebuild the nation.ā
Overseas Pakistanis Convention and Homecoming
The premier also spoke about the ongoing Overseas Pakistanis Convention in Islamabad. He called it a landmark event aimed at engaging overseas citizens in national development. He assured that the convention would offer opportunities for the diaspora to contribute to Pakistanās progress.
āThe convention is already underway and is shaping up to be historic,ā However he said. āOverseas Pakistanis are returning home to participate, and they will greatly benefit from this platform.ā
Departure from London
PM Shehbaz, along with Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar, met with PML-N leader Nawaz Sharif in London for consultations. In conclusion the trio discussed party and government matters over lunch. Shehbaz and Dar are scheduled to return to Pakistan on Monday morning.
