A wave of fear has spread through Karachi after two gruesome murder cases shocked residents. In both crimes, dismembered bodies were found in different parts of the city. His torso was recovered from a house in Mughal Hazara Goth, bringing clarity to a crime that initially baffled police.
According to officials, two suspects, Mudassir and Ali, both neighbors and close friends of Hussain, were arrested. Police revealed that all three men were drug addicts who regularly consumed crystal meth together. On the day of the killing, the suspects allegedly lured Imdad into their home under the pretext of using drugs. Instead, they murdered him, severed his body, and dumped the head at a garbage site while hiding the torso in Ali’s residence.
Police Crack Case with Arrests
SP Investigation East confirmed the arrests and said both suspects confessed to the crime. However, the exact motive remains unclear. Investigators believe that personal disputes combined with drug addiction may have played a role in the killing.
A murder case was registered based on a complaint from the victim’s father, who also named other relatives in his report. Police are now probing whether additional individuals were involved in planning or covering up the crime.

Second Killing Shocks North Nazimabad
Just as the city was reeling from the first case, another gruesome discovery was made. A severed head was found near a drain in Hyderi, while a torso discovered a day earlier in North Nazimabad’s Block L was confirmed to belong to the same victim.
Police identified the deceased as 35-year-old Muhammad Yousuf. He worked at a local tandoor and had recently moved to Karachi from Mansehra in search of better opportunities. His brother, Jannat Gul, confirmed the identification after being called in by authorities.
Victim’s Background Under Scrutiny
Investigators said Yousuf had been living in shared quarters with four other men. Police are now questioning his housemates and relatives for leads. The motive behind his murder remains uncertain. Authorities suspect that financial disputes, personal enmities, or drug-related issues could be factors.
