Imran Khan’s Toshakhana (gift depository) class is still in process, and the Islamabad court will hear the Election commission of Pakistan’s plea against the former prime minister Imran khan on Monday.
The case claims that Imran Khan took the gifts given to the state and sold them for his personal use.
The Election Commission of Pakistan mentions that the court must take action against this criminal act of Imran Khan and punish him accordingly.
On the other hand, the session court presided over by Zafar Iqbal states that the PTI leader was asked to submit the declaration of assets in the court. The PTI chairman did submit the documents but the court claims that they are incorrect.
The judge mentions that Imran Khan did not reveal the details of the gifts he received. Also, he did not mention the price he received by selling those gifts.
ECP stated in their plea, “The PTI chief had] deliberately concealed his assets relating to Toshakhana gifts retained by him particularly in 2018 and 2019 in the statements of assets and liabilities filed for the year 2017-2018 and 2018-19.”
Therefore, Imran Khan will appear in the Islamabad court today before the judge.
