NEW DELHI: An Indian army helicopter crashed on March 15th, 2023, resulting in the death of both pilots. According to reports from Indian media, the helicopter lost contact with air traffic control at 9:15 AM and a search was initiated.
However, it was later discovered that the helicopter had crashed in a body of water near the Mandla hills in the state of Arunachal Pradesh.
The helicopter was identified as a Cheetah, a multi-role, lightweight helicopter used by the Indian army for reconnaissance, surveillance, and other operations. Both pilots on board were killed in the crash, and they were identified as Lieutenant Colonel VV Reddy and Major Gyanath.

The cause of the crash is not yet known, and an investigation has been launched to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
The Indian army expressed their condolences to the families of the deceased pilots and assured the public that they are taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of their personnel and equipment.
