Federal Urdu University and Istanbul University Sign MoU

The Department of International Relations at Federal Urdu University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Istanbul University for academic collaboration. The signing ceremony took place at the Turkish Consulate in Karachi. On this occasion, the Turkish Consul General in Karachi, Jamal Sangu, warmly welcomed the high-level delegation from Federal Urdu University.

The delegation from Federal Urdu University included Dr. Shahid Iqbal, Incharge of the Campus; Dr. Samra Zamir, University Registrar; Dr. Shahabuddin, Head of the International Relations Department; Dr. Hina Muddasir, Director; Dr. Shehzad Khurram, Director of QEC; Dr. Kamal Haider, University Senate Member; and Dr. Masroor Khanum, President of the University Teachers Association and Chairperson of the Department of Mass Communication, along with other senior faculty members.

During the meeting, the delegation discussed various educational projects with the Turkish Consul General. Jamal Sangu emphasized the importance of strengthening educational ties between the two institutions, mentioning that efforts will be made to enhance collaboration with Sabahatdin University as well. He assured that the Turkish government would be pleased to support Federal Urdu University in improving its academic standards, infrastructure, student and faculty exchange programs, and scholarship opportunities.

The Turkish Consul General also expressed plans to establish a center for teaching the Turkish language at the university, considering the deep bond of love and respect between the people of Pakistan and Turkey. The university administration and faculty members thanked the Consul General for his support and expressed their hope that this collaboration will further strengthen the ties between Pakistan and Turkey.
