KARACHI: Gold rates fell by Rs1,400 per tola on Wednesday in the local market, according to the All Sindh Saraf Jewellers Association. The price of gold now stands at Rs260,100 per tola. The cost of 10 grams of gold also decreased by Rs1,200, bringing it to Rs222,994.

In the international market, gold rates decreased by $17 to $2,481 per ounce. Silver prices followed a similar trend, dropping by Rs50 to Rs2,900 per tola. The price of 10 grams of silver fell by Rs42.86 to Rs2,486.28.
Local market prices are adjusted with a premium of $20 above international rates.
