COVID kills 80 more people in a day, more than 2,000 new cases are reported

Karachi: Coronavirus kills 80 people a day across the country, while more than 2,000 people have been diagnosed with the deadly virus.

According to data released by the National Command and Operations Center, 37,206 corona tests were performed in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of code 19 tests to 63,131.

In the last 24 hours, 2,615 more positive cases have been reported across the country, bringing the number of certified corona patients in Pakistan to 457,288.

According to official facts, 24,103 in Sindh, 131,428 in Punjab, 54,948 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 36,117 in Islamabad, 17,909 in Balochistan, 7,961 in Azad Kashmir and Gilgit, and 4,822 people in Baltistan has been diagnosed with the Covid.

According to the NCOC, the number of patients recovering from Corona has reached 47,405.

On the other hand, smart lockdown has been implemented in various cities to curb the spread of the Coronavirus in the country.

22 more areas of Lahore, 9 areas of Rawalpindi, 4 areas of Gujranwala, 3 areas of Gujarat and Hafizabad were sealed.

however, any kind of movement is restricted in the affected areas. Shopping malls, offices, and restaurants will remain closed.

The smart lockdown has also been implemented in different areas of Gulshan-e-Iqbal and Jamshed Town of Karachi. According to the statement, all kinds of businesses will be banned in these areas except medical stores and grocery stores.
