Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman (MBS) on Tuesday at the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Conference in Riyadh. They discussed expanding cooperation in trade, investment, and other sectors. Shehbaz thanked Saudi Arabia for its support, especially with international financial institutions, and wished King Salman bin Abdulaziz good health.
Shehbaz praised the FII Conference and MBS’s “visionary leadership.” He noted that Saudi Vision 2030 aligns well with Pakistan’s economic goals. “This event lays a foundation for future partnerships,” Shehbaz said. The leaders also reviewed agreements signed during the recent Saudi delegation’s visit to Pakistan, focusing on long-term cooperation.
Addressing Regional Issues
The leaders shared concerns over Israeli aggression in the Middle East, noting its damage. The meeting underscored strong cultural and religious ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and reaffirmed mutual support in times of regional unrest.
Warm Welcome in Riyadh
Shehbaz arrived in Saudi Arabia for a two-day visit to attend the 8th FII. He was warmly welcomed at the Royal Terminal of King Khalid International Airport by Riyadh’s Deputy Governor, Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrehman bin Abdulaziz, along with senior Saudi officials and the Pakistani Ambassador.
The FII, hosted at the King Abdulaziz International Conference Center from October 29 to 31, follows the theme “Infinite Horizons: Investing Today, Shaping Tomorrow.” Under King Salman’s patronage, the conference brings together global leaders to discuss how today’s investments can support a sustainable future.

Prime Minister Shehbaz is scheduled to participate in the plenary session of the FII. He is expected to share Pakistan’s economic vision and highlight investment opportunities with an international audience. After his arrival, Shehbaz posted on X (formerly Twitter), stating, “Just landed in the beautiful city of Riyadh at the invitation of my brother HRH Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to participate in the 8th Future Investment Initiative Conference.”
