Florida: US President-elect Donald Trump vowed to work tirelessly to end the Russia-Ukraine conflict during a gala event at the Mar-a-Lago Club in Florida on Thursday. Speaking at the America First Policy Institute’s event, Trump stated that the ongoing war needed to come to an end, expressing concern over the rising death toll.

“We’re going to work on the Middle East, and we’re going to work very hard on Russia and Ukraine. It’s gotta stop. Russia and Ukraine’s gotta stop,” Trump emphasized. He referred to a report revealing that thousands of people had been killed over the past three days, noting that whether soldiers or civilians, the human toll was unacceptable.

We won the popular vote,” Trump declared, signaling his confidence in the public’s support.

Trump also made light of his election victory, joking that his term should start from November 5, the day he was elected, citing an uptick in the stock market and public enthusiasm. “The market’s gone through the roof, enthusiasm’s doubled in the last short while,” he said.
