The 46-year-old Houston native was putting away a gun when it slipped from its holster, hit the side of his jeep, and discharged, injuring his stomach. Thankfully, the bullet missed vital organs, and Head is expected to make a full recovery.
Quick Action Saves His Life
Head’s wife, Misty, shared an update on his condition, explaining that after the incident, he ran to the end of the road to flag down a passing car. Then, a Good Samaritan stopped to help, and emergency services quickly arrived, ensuring Head’s safe transport. Misty thanked the medical responders and credited his size as a factor in preventing further injury, as the bullet lodged in his fatty tissue.
