Misinformation Targeting PTI Leadership
The report also debunked claims about significant changes within PTI’s leadership, such as rumors of Asad Qaiser becoming the new chairman. Another damaging claim came from a fake social media account impersonating PTI founder Imran Khan’s son, Sulaiman Isa Khan. Additionally, rumors surrounding the health of PTI founder Imran Khan were proven false but not before creating widespread concern.
Global Attention on Fabricated Stories
One widely circulated piece of misinformation involved claims that a PTI protester had died during the demonstrations. This story gained international traction before being disproven when the individual in question was seen publicly meeting with the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. Call for Urgent Action Against Misinformation
