Deadly Airstrikes in Gaza
At least 22 Palestinians, including women and children, were killed in Israeli air and drone strikes across Gaza. A hospital in northern Gaza faces power outages, endangering the lives of more than 100 patients, Al Jazeera reported.
In the Jabalia refugee camp, three people were killed on Monday morning. A missile launched from a drone struck them as they searched for food, eyewitnesses told Al Jazeera.

“These victims were trying to leave their home to find food,” reported Al Jazeera’s Hani Mahmoud from Deir el-Balah. “Their bodies remain on the street as no one can reach the bombed site.”
Netanyahu Links Assad’s Fall to Gaza Hostage Deal
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu suggested that the fall of Syria’s President Bashar al-Assad could influence a potential hostage deal in Gaza. Speaking to families of Israeli hostages, he highlighted Israel’s military actions against Hezbollah and Hamas as factors in weakening Assad’s regime.
Netanyahu stated that Assad’s fall could create opportunities to secure the return of hostages from Gaza. His comments were reported by The Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation.
Escalating Crisis in Gaza
The humanitarian situation in Gaza continues to worsen. Airstrikes have intensified, displacing thousands of civilians. Hospitals face severe challenges due to power cuts, with life-saving medical services at risk.
Efforts to secure a ceasefire and address the hostage crisis are ongoing. Sullivan’s visit signals the urgency of these negotiations amid rising tensions in the region.
