Karachi: The federal government has increased the price of electricity by 18 paisa per unit.
The Power Division has issued a notification to increase the price of electricity, according to which the average electricity tariff has been increased from Rs 13.35 paise to Rs 13.53 paise per unit.
The increase in electricity prices was in line with the adjustments made in the second and third quarters of the last financial year
However, the decision will not apply to domestic consumers using less than 300 units of electricity per month.
The notification said that the 18 paisa per unit increase in the price of electricity will continue for 10 months.
