Karachi: The Federal Ministry of Religious Affairs, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee will consist of 19 members including the Chairman while Maulana Abdul Khabir Azad has been appointed as the Chairman Route Hilal Committee.
According to the report, the committee includes Dr. Ragheb Hussain Naeemi, Allama Muhammad Hussain Akbar, Maulana Fazlur Rahim, Dr. Yaseen Zafar, Mufti Muhammad Iqbal Chishti, and Dr. Mufti Ali Asghar.
Mufti Faisal Ahmed, Syed Ali Qarar Naqvi, and Mufti Yousuf Kashmiri have been appointed as members of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
According to the notification, Hafiz Abdul Ghafoor, Mufti Fazal Jamil Rizvi, Qari Mirullah, Sahibzada Habibullah Chishti, and Mufti Zameer Sajid will also be the members of the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
The Central Route Hilal Committee will also include representatives from SPARCO, Meteorological Department, Ministry of Science and Technology, and Ministry of Religious Affairs.
It may be recalled that earlier Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman was the chairman of Ruet-e-Hilal Committee and he had been holding this position for a long time. However, several members including him have been removed in the reconstitution of the committee today.
The news, however, was not well received by the users of social media. They took to these platforms to express the resentment.

Khalil Ur Rehman also took to twitter to share the news and shared his thoughts labeling it a “poor decision”.
He said “The removel of Mufti Muneeb is very poor decision by govt. Govt should not take steps which can imbalance hormony in the country. It is inevitable to restore Mufti Muneeb immidiately. #مفتی_صاحب_کوبحال_کرو“
