Porsche Unveils 2025 911 Carrera S with Enhanced Power
Porsche has introduced the 2025 911 Carrera S, a performance-driven addition to the Carrera lineup. With its turbocharged 3.0-liter boxer engine producing 473 horsepower, the new Carrera S delivers increased power, advanced driving dynamics, and enhanced standard features. Positioned between the 911 Carrera and the 911 Carrera GTS, this model exemplifies Porsche’s commitment to innovation and excellence.
Upgraded Performance
The 911 Carrera S boasts a re-engineered 3.0-liter twin-turbo six-cylinder engine, generating 473 hp and 390 lb-ft of torque—a 30-hp improvement over its predecessor. Porsche achieved this with new turbochargers and optimized charge-air cooling. The result is a thrilling 0-60 mph acceleration in just 3.1 seconds with the Sport Chrono Package, 0.2 seconds faster than the previous model. The car reaches a top track speed of 191 mph.
An eight-speed Porsche dual-clutch transmission (PDK) powers the rear wheels, ensuring seamless and efficient gear shifts. Enhanced dampers with improved hydraulics further refine the ride quality, making the Carrera S a standout in its class.
Extensive Standard Equipment
The 2025 911 Carrera S comes with a significantly upgraded list of standard features. Performance highlights include a Sport Exhaust with silver tailpipes, advanced brakes from the previous 911 Carrera GTS models, and staggered 20/21-inch Carrera S wheels. Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV+) ensures precise handling, while options like Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) and PASM Sport Suspension, which lowers the ride height by 10 mm, offer even more driving precision.
For enhanced agility and stability, an optional rear axle steering system is available. This system improves low-speed maneuverability, high-speed stability, and includes a quicker steering ratio and revised front axle kinematics.
Luxurious Interior Upgrades
The interior of the 2025 Carrera S reflects Porsche’s dedication to luxury and comfort. Standard leather upholstery now covers the seats, headrests, upper dashboard, and door panels. The Cabriolet version includes rear seats as standard, while Coupe models offer an optional rear seat deletion for a more performance-focused configuration.
Optional upgrades include a full leather interior, extending to areas like the lower dashboard, glove box, and rear tunnel. Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur offers further customization with 48 two-tone leather combinations. Additional features include Matrix Design LED headlights, a cooled wireless smartphone charger, and a drive mode knob on the heated steering wheel.
