Imran Khan, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI)’s founding chairman, has welcomed the meeting between PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, and Chief of Army Staff General Asim Munir. After visiting Imran Khan at Adiala Jail, Barrister Gohar spoke informally with the media, stressing that all PTI actions align with Imran’s directives. CM Gandapur and Governor Faisal Karim Kundi clashed over the use of Rs500 billion, with Gandapur accusing Kundi of spreading misinformation. The exchange escalated further when ANP leader Aimal Wali Khan alleged that the provincial government harbored Taliban elements. Gandapur defended his role in the Afghan Jihad and called for transparency regarding these accusations.
Despite the disagreements, General Munir and other political leaders worked to steer the discussion back to regional security priorities.
