15th Ramadan, Wiladat of Hazrat Imam Hasan (رضی الله عنه)
Hazrat Imam Hasan (رضی الله عنه) was born on 15th Ramadan, 3 AH in Madinah. He was the beloved grandson of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ, the son of Hazrat Ali (علیہ السلام) and Hazrat Fatima (رضی الله عنها), and the elder brother of Hazrat Imam Hussain (رضی الله عنه). His noble character, patience, and wisdom made him one of the most respected figures in Islamic history.

The Holy Prophet ﷺ had immense love for Imam Hasan (رضی الله عنه). He said:
“Hasan and Hussain are the leaders of the youth in Paradise.” (Tirmidhi)
His Leadership and Treaty with Muawiya (رضی الله عنه)
After the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (علیہ السلام), Imam Hasan (رضی الله عنه) became the Caliph. However, to prevent bloodshed among Muslims, he made a peace treaty with Hazrat Muawiya (رضی الله عنه). This act of wisdom saved the Muslim Ummah from internal conflict and showed his commitment to unity and peace.
Imam Hasan (رضی الله عنه) was known for his kindness, patience, and generosity. He would give in charity without hesitation and always treated people with love and respect.
Imam Hasan (رضی الله عنه) was martyred by poisoning in 50 AH. His sacrifice and legacy remain an inspiration for all Muslims.
Dua for Breaking the Fast (Iftar Dua)
The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to say the following dua before eating at Iftar:
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي لَكَ صُمْتُ وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ وَعَلَيْكَ تَوَكَّلْتُ وَعَلَىٰ رِزْقِكَ أَفْطَرْتُ
Transliteration:
Allahumma inni laka sumtu wa bika aamantu wa ‘alayka tawakkaltu wa ‘ala rizq-ika aftartu.
Translation:
“O Allah! I fasted for You, I believe in You, I put my trust in You, and with Your sustenance, I break my fast.”

Dua for the Second Ashra of Ramadan (10th to 20th Ramadan)
The second Ashra (middle 10 days) of Ramadan is known for seeking forgiveness (Maghfirah).
اَسْتَغْفِرُاللّٰهَ رَبِّيْ مِنْ كُلِّ ذَنْبٍ وَّأَتُوْبُ اِلَيْهِ
Transliteration:
Astagfirullaha Rabbi min kulli dhanbin wa atubu ilayh.
Translation:
“I seek forgiveness from Allah, my Lord, for all my sins, and I turn to Him in repentance.”
Recommended Actions in the Second Ashra
Seek Forgiveness Daily – Say Astagfirullah 100 times a day.
Repent with Sincerity – Ask Allah to forgive past sins.
Increase Prayers & Quran Recitation – Strengthen your connection with Allah.
Help the Needy & Give Charity – Earn rewards by helping others.
