JEDDAH: The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has introduced a new health requirement for all participants of the Hajj 2025 pilgrimage.
The ministry confirmed that the rule applies to both Saudi citizens and international pilgrims. Officials stressed that meeting this requirement is mandatory to ensure public health and safety during the pilgrimage.
“Hajj will not be allowed without fulfilling this requirement,” a ministry spokesperson stated, highlighting the seriousness of the measure.
Registration Linked to Compliance
Pilgrims must provide proof during the registration process. Without it, they cannot proceed with their Hajj application.
Aiming to Prevent Health Risks
This step is part of broader efforts to prevent infectious diseases during Hajj, where millions gather in close proximity. Saudi authorities stress that protecting public health has become more critical than ever.
By enforcing this measure, the ministry aims to ensure a safe and healthy pilgrimage for all.
