A new weather system has entered Punjab, bringing rain and strong winds after weeks of dry weather. The Meteorological Department has forecast showers and gusty winds in multiple districts, including Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, and Sargodha. While many regions will experience rainfall, Lahore and surrounding areas are expected to remain cloudy with intermittent sunshine but no precipitation. The temperature in Lahore will range between 19°C and 32°C, with the showers marking the end of the prolonged dry spell.
Intermittent rain, windstorms, and thunderstorms are also expected in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Gilgit Baltistan, and Kashmir. Some isolated locations in these regions may experience heavy rainfall and hailstorms. Scattered showers are also forecast for upper Punjab, Islamabad, and lower Khyber Pakhtunkhwa over the next 12 hours.
