The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has strengthened the national team by adding Haris Rauf and Usman Khan to the ODI squad for the upcoming three-match series against New Zealand. The inclusion of these two players aims to bolster Pakistan’s bowling and wicket-keeping options.

Haris Rauf Strengthens Pace Attack

Haris Rauf has earned his place in the ODI squad after an impressive performance in the recently concluded T20I series, where Pakistan faced a 4-1 defeat. The fast bowler stood out, taking eight wickets in four matches at an average of 12.25. His ability to deliver breakthroughs at crucial moments has made him a key asset in Pakistan’s bowling lineup.

Usman Khan Joins as Reserve Wicket-Keeper

Usman Khan has been called up as a backup wicket-keeper, with Mohammad Rizwan continuing as the team’s first-choice behind the stumps. His inclusion adds depth to Pakistan’s batting and keeping options, ensuring the team has solid backup in case of any unexpected challenges.

Eight T20I Players Join ODI Squad

Meanwhile, the remaining members of the T20I squad, including Shadab Khan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Umair Bin Yousuf, Hassan Nawaz, Mohammad Haris, Abbas Afridi, Abdul Samad, and Jahandad Khan, have departed for Pakistan via Dubai.

ODI Series Schedule

Pakistan will face New Zealand in a three-match ODI series starting on March 29 in Napier. The second game will take place in Hamilton on April 2, and the final match is scheduled for April 5 in Mount Maunganui.
