Israel’s Bombardment Kills Civilians in Gaza “Safe Zone”

Gaza Strip – April 21, 2025: Israel has continued its unrelenting air raids on Gaza, killing at least six people in two separate strikes. The attacks targeted areas where civilians had taken shelter, including a so-called safe zone.
Deadly Strikes in Al-Mawasi and Khan Younis
Two people lost their lives when Israeli forces bombed tents in the Al-Mawasi area, which Israel had earlier designated as a safe zone. The victims were among hundreds of displaced families seeking refuge.
Later the same day, another airstrike hit a house in Khan Younis. Four members of the same family were killed in the attack. Local medics described the scene as heartbreaking, with children and women pulled from the rubble.
One rescue worker said, “There are no safe zones left in Gaza. Every area is a target now.”

United Nations Official Demands Accountability
Jonathan Whitall, the head of the United Nations humanitarian agency in Gaza, has called for an independent investigation. His demand follows an Israeli military statement claiming there is no evidence to support accusations that its soldiers executed paramedics last month.
Whitall stated, “Repeated attacks on medical workers and civilians must not go unpunished. Accountability must happen now.”
French Legislators Blocked from Entering Israel
In a separate development, several French lawmakers were denied entry into Israel. Their visas were canceled without explanation just before their planned visit to Palestinian territories.
The lawmakers criticized the move as politically motivated and called on French President Emmanuel Macron to step in. “Blocking us sends a dangerous message about silencing international support for Palestine,” one member said.
US Strikes Yemen Again as Death Toll Rises
The United States launched another airstrike on northern Yemen, further escalating regional tensions. This comes days after a deadly attack on a crowded market in Sanaa, which killed at least twelve civilians.
Local rescue teams are still searching for survivors beneath collapsed buildings. Many families are mourning as medical supplies run dangerously low in the area.
Defense Secretary Under Scrutiny Over Leaked War Plans
Controversy is growing in the United States after media reports revealed that Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth shared classified military plans in a private group chat. That chat reportedly included his wife, brother, and personal lawyer.
Security analysts are calling the leak a serious breach of protocol, and there are calls for an internal investigation.
From Gaza to Yemen, civilian suffering is increasing as military campaigns intensify. Humanitarian officials, lawmakers, and rights groups are urging world leaders to act swiftly and protect innocent lives.
