
A key delegation from Kazakhstan visited the Karachi Port Trust (KPT) Head Office on April 25, 2025, to explore logistics collaboration and expand trade links through Pakistan’s major ports. The visit is part of a broader two-week mission aimed at assessing commercial opportunities at Karachi Port, Port Qasim, and Gwadar Port.
Strategic Reception at KPT
Led by Mr. Maxat Mutashev of Kazakhstan’s Ministry of Transport (Railway and Water Transport), the delegation received a warm welcome at the KPT headquarters. However KPT officials delivered a detailed briefing on the port’s operational strengths, highlighting its modern infrastructure and its critical role as a maritime trade hub in South Asia.
