In a strong rebuttal, Pakistan-India tensions intensified on Tuesday as Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt Gen Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry declared that India had failed to provide a “shred of evidence” supporting its allegations against Pakistan in the aftermath of the deadly Pahalgam attack.
No Proof, Just Accusations
During a press conference in Rawalpindi, Lt Gen Chaudhry said that it had been seven days since the April 22 attack in Indian-occupied Kashmir, but New Delhi had not shared any concrete evidence to substantiate its claims of Pakistani involvement.

India’s Alleged Cross-Border Role
Chaudhry shifted focus by alleging that India itself was engaged in cross-border terrorism, targeting both Pakistani civilians and military installations. He stated that Pakistan had obtained irrefutable forensic evidence proving Indian involvement in various terror activities inside its borders.
Call for Independent Investigation
Pakistan’s government, including Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, has urged for a neutral and transparent international investigation into the Pahalgam attack. Islamabad maintains that it seeks peace and stability in the region, while countering unfounded allegations with facts he stated with emphasis
