Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa addresses the 239th Corps Commanders’ Conference

The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) Gen Qamar Javed Bajwa presided at the 239th Corps Commanders’ Conference which took place at General Headquarters on Tuesday.

According to the director-general Inter-Services Public Relations (DG ISPR), participants conducted a systematic analysis of the regional and domestic security environment with a specific emphasis on the boundary, internal security and other technical concerns of the Army.

In the sense of the Kashmir Solidarity Day, the Forum welcomed the increase in international forums on deteriorating humanitarian and security crises in IIOJ&K.

The Forum reiterated Pakistan’s unwavering support for the resilient Kashmiri people in their just struggle for the right to self-determination in line with the related resolutions of the United Nations Security Council.

Dilating to the Afghan Peace Process, the participants shared their desire for a prosperous and secure Afghanistan for international peace and security.

Commanders stated that the severity of security threats requires a systemic national approach, holding national interest above all else.

Participants emphasized the need to maintain constant organizational readiness to foil any potential misadventure by the rival.

The Forum also expressed its complete satisfaction at countering the hostile intelligence agencies’ desire to undermine peace and development, especially in Balochistan and Gilgit Baltistan, which revealed the world as a whole, thus vindicating Pakistan’s position on the involvement of hostile agencies in the training and financing of terrorists.

The dividends of improving security conditions, including the return of international cricket in the region, are the product of multiple sacrifices and obstacles to removing extremism and terrorism from Pakistan. We’re going to continue in the direction of InshaAllah, COAS concluded.
