KARACHI: Asif Ahmad has been appointed General Manager of IBM Pakistan by the International Business Management (IBM). He will succeed Ghazanfar Ali, who has led IBM’s operations in Pakistan since 2016 and is now in charge of IBM’s Middle East and African operations.
“The adoption of technology is not only necessary for a profitable and more sustainable market, but also a significant component of economic growth and development,” Asif Ahmad said in a statement announcing his appointment.
“Together with our partners, we will work with our clients across the country, including the government, to help them reap the benefits of the IBM Hybrid Cloud and AI portfolio,” he added.

The new General Manager of IBM Pakistan, Asif Ahmad, has been serving IBM since 2011 and held several key positions in the company. He was a Country Sales Manager and Public Sector Sales Leader IBM Pakistan. His appointment as General Manager IBM Pakistan will be effective from April 1, 2021.
