63 died of coronavirus, 4,368 new cases in Pakistan
3rd wave of Coronavirus intensifies in Pakistan for the first time in eight months
KARACHI: The effects of Coronavirus persist in Pakistan, with 63 deaths from the virus and 4,368 new cases reported in the country today, bringing the total number of deaths from Corona to 14,091 and the number of Corona cases to 645,356.
Covid-19 is spreading rapidly in the country due to which the number of cases is continuously increasing while the highest record of Corona cases has come to light in 4 months.
National Command and Operations Center (NCOC) has released the latest statistics on people who are infected with coronavirus during the last 24-hours.
According to NCOC report, 4,368 new cases were reported across the country in the last 24 hours, the number of corona patients in Pakistan has reached 645,356.
According to the National Command and Operations Center, Sindh was most affected by the coronavirus, where the number of corona patients reached 264,062, while in Punjab, 2,07,765 people fell victim to corona.
Third Wave is More Intense
As the third wave of COVID-19 intensifies, Pakistan registered over 4,000 coronavirus cases for the first time in eight months on Friday.
According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), the country conducted 42,418 tests in the last 24 hours, with 4,368 of them yielding positive results. With the addition of these new events, the national positivity ratio now stands at 10.3 percent.
Pakistan last documented more than 4,000 cases on July 3, when 4,087 people were diagnosed with the virus.
Since July 12, Pakistan has had the highest coronavirus positivity rate. The positivity ratio was 12.2 percent on July 12th.
Pakistan has also lost 63 people to the coronavirus, which is now wreaking havoc. In Punjab, 40 of them died.
