President Arif Alvi Playing His Role in Negotiations

Pakistani President, Arif Alvi claims that he political role does not allow him but still he is trying to maintain and save democracy

Pakistan’s politics is going through a turmoil lately and both the opposition and government are not on negotiating terms.

Chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf (PTI), Imran Khan is trying to convince the government for general elections through his Azadi long march.

The government on the other hand does not want elections as it can bring extreme political instability.

President Arif Alvi says that he is trying to save democracy by playing the role of a negotiator between the government and his party, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf.

He said, “I am trying to reduce tensions and bring all political parties to negotiating table to save democracy from derailing and improve situation,”

Further he added, “I am playing a role of mediator as supreme commander of the armed forces but I am not a broker.”

Speaking about the details of the matter he said, “matters are being kept under wraps to so that things progress amicably”.

Currently, Pakistan Tehreek e Insaaf is continuing their Azadi March under the leadership of PTI officials Asad Umar and Shah Mehmood Qureshi, while Imran khan also address the participants through video stream.
