Protests have spread all across China against the Covid restrictions after 10 people died in a fire in the northwest region of Urumqi
Recently, in the northwest region of Urumqi, a residential building caught fire, and the fire killed almost ten people.
Covid has been increasing at a rapid pace again in China, due to which Xi’s government has put Covid restrictions and strict lockdowns in different areas and cities.
The people were already frustrated with the Covid situation and lockdown which locked them in their small spaces without anything to do.
But the situation worsened when the fire in Urumqi killed ten people. Citizens blamed the lockdown and Covid restrictions for this saddening incident.
After this incident, protests broke in different cities of China blaming the government for the Urumqi fire.
Manny people took to streets asking President Xi Jinping to resign.
