Pakistan’s senior Journalist and head of Jang and Geo group, Imran Aslam passes away at the age of 70.
The senior journalist, Imran Aslam made his mark on Pakistani journalism and media that no other could possibly make.
His family revealed Imran Aslam passed away today in a local hospital where he was admitted for a couple of days, as he was unwell.
Imran Aslam’s son Taimur confirmed the passing away of his father and mentioned that his funeral prayers will take place in DHA phase 8 after Asr’s prayers.
About Imran Aslam
Imran Aslam was born in 1952 in Madras, India. He got his education in journalism from London in the 70s era. He then returned to Pakistan to take journalism in Pakistan to new heights.
Popular platforms such as Geo news, Geo Entertainment and Geo Super (sports channel) started under his leadership and supervision.
Moreover, he also became the founding member of Pakistan’s English newspaper The News. He was also the senior editor and chief news editor on that newspaper.
Apart from journalism, he had his way in the field of arts as well.
He wrote more than 60 successful plays that became popular as stage dramas and television dramas.
His works include feature film Parey Hut Love, Khaleej, Dastak, and Rozy.
However, his journey came to an end on 2nd December, 2022.
His friends, family, and fans poured in their condolences.
