Giant and popular streaming platform, Netflix has announced that it will end all sharing accounts in way 2023.
This is bad news for all the people who enjoy watching Netflix but sharing with their partners. Now they will not be able to share and freeload on the platform. Netflix has found out that many users either use their relatives’ or friends’ accounts for free without paying, or they use sharing accounts.
Netflix has been planning for a while to implement its new strategy of ‘monetizing non-paying subscribers.’ Now the streaming platform has finally announced this new strategy in early 2023.
With new accounts, Netflix will offer the users to transfer all their previous data to new accounts. This data will include history, settings, and other information.
However, people are not happy with this situation. Most of the users who shared accounts with users stated that they might stop using Netflix altogether. But some users said that they will start paying and enjoy the streaming platform.
