Govt Announces Rs.10 Million for Firdaus Jamal’s Treatment
Firdous Jamal is a Pakistani veteran actor who has worked in more than 300 TV shows, dramas, numerous radio shows, stage dramas, and movies.
However, Firdous Jamal is diagnosed with cancer and after hearing the news, the government of Pakistan has decided to help the legendary actor in his fight against Cancer.
Adviser to Prime Minister on Political Affairs, National Heritage, and Culture Division, Engr Amir Muqam gave the cheque of Rs.10 million to Firdous Jamal’s son, Hamza Jamal at their residence.
Firdous Jamal shared his sentiments on receiving the aid, “I am thankful to Shehbaz Sharif for this aid; I am thankful that the government paid heed to the artists. We are this nation’s treasure.”
Firdaus Jamal has the honor of being the actor that has won Pride of Pakistan award by President of Pakistan in 1986.
Jamal’s son, Hamza Jamal disclosed the news through his Instagram handle. He posted a picture of his father saying, “My father is going through a cancer recovery treatment at Shaukat Khanum Hospital,”
Hamza further added, “I know… it’s life! But nothing to worry about because we (his family) and you all (his dearest friends, work colleagues, fans, admirers, well-wishers) are here for him.”
Furthermore, he positively shared his hopes saying, “He became an actor against all odds. Here’s to another battle but luckily the odds are in his favor. He will come out stronger. Please remember him and us in your prayers.”
The film fraternity and fans of the veteran actor all wished for the speedy recovery of the actor.
