Careem Reduces its commission to 5% in Support of the Restaurant Industry

KARACHI: Careem, the Middle East and Pakistan Mega App, has reported that its restaurant commission fees will be reduced to 5 percent with the second phase of COVID-19 entering Pakistan and the closure of indoor dining. This announcement was made on the social media properties of Careem, urging individuals to request more.

The reduction in commission fees would allow Careem to expand the required restaurant help by passing on these commissions to customers in the form of discounts while facilitating increased orders. The restaurant business has experienced a serious economic blow after the first lockdown when dine-in was totally shut down due to a pandemic involving millions of lives. Things are also difficult, though as current SOPs still need reduced pacing with a full in-door dining ban.
