Karachi: New Zealand beats Pakistan by 9 wickets in the second T20 to take a decisive lead of 0-2 in the series.

In the second T20 of the series played in Hamilton, New Zealand, Pakistan scored 163 runs in the 20 overs thanks to a brilliant 99-run innings by Muhammad Hafeez, in response to which the New Zealanders achieved the target at a loss of 1 wicket.

Martin Guptill and Tim Seifert started the innings aggressively for New Zealand.

Kane Williamson returned in excellent fashion to the New Zealand team scoring an outstanding 57 runs from 42 balls, while Tim Seifert was the batsmen’s choice, scoring 84 runs from 63 balls.

New Zealand’s only falling wicket was that of Guptill who scored 21 runs. He was dismissed by Faheem Ashraf.

No other bowler from Pakistan could show significant performance.

In the second match of the Pak-New Zealand T20 series, played in Hamilton, Pakistan’s openers made a disappointing start by showing irresponsibility once and for all.

In the second over of the match, Haider Ali and Abdullah Shafiq fell victim to Tim Southee. Haider scored 8 runs while Abdullah could not score a run.

When the score of the Pakistan team reached 33 runs, Rizwan returned to the pavilion after scoring 22 runs. Captain Shadab Khan came to bat at number five but he too could not show any noteworthy performance and ended up scoring only 4 runs.
