Karachi: National cricket team bowling coach Waqar Younis will return home to meet his family after the first Test match against New Zealand.
Waqar Younis has taken leave to spend time with his family in Pakistan after the first Test. He will come to Lahore after the first Test where he will spend time with his family.
Waqar Younis went to Sydney after the series against England but was in the hotel for 14 days as he quarantined himself when his father’s health deteriorated so he had to return without meeting the family and at the same time his father died.

Had he gone to Australia, he would have had to go through 14 days of strict quarantine.
In such a situation, Waqar Younis decided to take a holiday and spend time with his family in Pakistan.
Waqar Younis’ family will arrive in Pakistan this week and are scheduled to return to Australia on January 17. The bowling coach had requested the team management to spend some time with his family in Lahore.
Waqar Younis to rejoin the national squad ahead of the series against South Africa starting January 26.
