Karachi: Prime Minister Imran Khan has said that in the history of the country, the way political opposition parties attacked the army. The EU DisinfoLab divulged that India had set up 700 fake news websites to target the Pak-army as India wants to present Pakistan in a bad way in the world.
It has never happened before and the language used by India’s propaganda machine against Pakistan is being used.
Addressing the ceremony of the university in Chakwal, the Prime minister of Pakistan, Imran Khan said, that General (retd) Pervez Musharraf was criticized but he was a political figure because he had become the head of the country.
The Prime Minister said that the European Union’s DisinfoLab revealed that India had set up 700 fake news websites. In which the names of dead people are used and its sole purpose is to present Pakistan in a bad way in the world so that no one from outside would invest in Pakistan.
The Prime Minister added that the Pakistani army, in particular, is targeted because India has long wanted it to weaken the Pakistani army.
India wants to portray the Pakistani army as terrorists while Narendra Modi has even called the previous army chief a terrorist.
The Prime Minister said that it was unfortunate that these fake news sites were also promoting the opposition’s PDM and there are many journalists who were part of this misinformation and supported the PDM.
