Karachi: On the first day in the White House, Joe Biden plans to deliver a series of executive orders – it would be up to them to rescind the divisive ban on many mostly Muslim nations.

According to details, Ron Klain, Biden’s incoming White House chief of staff, circulated a memo claiming that the current US administration would initiate a spate of reversal of policies adopted by Donald Trump.

The Biden administration will review anti-coronavirus measures in the first 10 days, rejoin the Paris Agreement and immigration laws barring the citizenship of millions, mainly Muslims.

The outgoing president Trump signed an executive order soon after taking office in 2017 restricting travelers from entering the United States from seven Muslim-majority countries. In the sense of legal battles, the order was reworked several times, a version of which was upheld by the US Supreme Court in 2018.
