Another bout of cold weather to hit Karachi

Karachi: Pakistan Meteorological Department has said that on Saturday Karachiites are likely to experience another spell of cold weather owing to a new weather system entering the metropolis from Balochistan.

According to the Met, the Siberian winds will blow in the city with a speed from 22 to above 30 kilometers per hour which will cause the temperature to drop to four to five degrees Celsius.

The weather system is likely to bring the minimum temperature down to single-digit in Karachi.

According to the reports, the cold winds will begin to grip the metropolis from Sunday which will last for at least three days.

The metropolis had recently recorded a temperature of 7.5°C in the morning.

Earlier the last Wednesday, due to heavy fog in the early hours had forced the closure of portions of the Motorway.

According to the details, the two portions of the motorway were closed as the visibility of the National Highway was reduced to 10 to 50 meters.
