Karachi: Inflation is at its lowest level since the formation of the current government, the Prime Minister said on Sunday.
Prime Minister Imran Khan informed that he had instructed his economic team to remain vigilant and ensure that inflation was kept under control.
In his tweet on social networking site Twitter, Prime Minister Imran Khan expressed his content with regard to the “more good news on the economic front” that is likely to surface, and the “efforts to reduce inflation” are yielding excellent results.
More good news on the economic front. Our efforts to reduce inflation are now showing results. Consumer price index & core inflation are both now lower than when our government was formed. I have told my economic team to stay vigilant & ensure that inflation stays under control.

He continued to write that “Consumer price index & core inflation are both now lower than when our government was formed.”

Premiere also told the economic team to remain vigilant and make sure “that inflation stays under control.”
It should be noted that during the last month, oil and other food prices have risen sharply.
However, Federal Minister Asad Umar also mentioned in his tweet that the rate of inflation in the country is declining.
Inflation is lower than when the PTI government was formed.
Prior to the PTI’s government in July 2018, the CPI was 5.8% and the core inflation was 7.6%.
Nonetheless, inflation now is 5.7 percent and the core inflation is 5.4 percent.
