As Portuguese footballer, Cristiano Ronaldo turned 36th, on Friday, he took social media to celebrate the moment with his fans.

Earlier, Ronaldo became the highest goal-scoring player of all time.

The footballer has already made history with several records under his belt.

The 36-year old player has also received five Ballon d’Or awards with 762 senior career goals and 224 assists which is the highest by any European player.

including 31 senior trophies, Portuguese footballer has a total of 300 trophies, 17 from friendly matches while many from others his childhood.

The 36 years old said that “unbelievable! It feels like it all started yesterday, but this journey is already full of adventures and stories to remember by. My first ball, my first team, my first goal… Time flies!”

He continued to reminisce “From Madeira to Lisbon, from Lisbon to Manchester, from Manchester to Madrid, from Madrid to Turim, but above all, from the bottom of my heart to the world…”

He also expressed his gratitude to fans saying, “I’ve given everything I could, I never held back and I’ve always tried to deliver the best possible version of me. In return, you gave me your love and admiration, your presence and your unconditional support. And for that, I’ll never be able to thank you enough. I couldn’t have done without you.”

He continued to thank his fans, “As I celebrate my 36th birthday and my 20th year as a professional footballer, I’m sorry that I can’t promise you 20 more years of this. But what I can promise you, is that as long as I keep going, you’ll never receive less than 100% from me!”

He added, “Thank you once again for all your support and your kind messages and initiatives during this day. It means a lot to me and you all have a special place in my heart.”

In 2015 he was crowned Best Portuguese Player of All Time.

He was the Most Voted Player of the Year five times and managed to win numerous Player of the Year awards.
