Karachi: Senator Mushahidullah Khan breathed his last in Islamabad, on Thursday morning, PML-N leader Mohammad Zubair confirmed.

Mohammad Zubair who is the spokesperson for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) informed that the leader was ailing for a very long time.

After that Maryam Nawaz also confirmed the “sad news” as she was “shattered to hear” and referred to his death as a ‘huge loss’.

“Senator Mushahidullah Khan, MNS’s loyal and exceptional companion left us. Will never be able to forget his fatherly affection & love. Huge huge loss.”

The late senator was one of the senior-most leaders of the party who was also a former federal minister. He has served on the legislative committees on the nomination of the Chief Election Commissioner and members of Pakistan, Kashmir, and National Security Election Commissions.

Mushahidullah was the chairperson of the Standing Committee on Aviation, a member of the Council of Chairpersons, and a number of other standing committees as well.

His funeral prayers will be held on Thursday after Zuhr Namaz in Islamabad’s Sector H-11 later, as per his family.
