PML-N politician Hina Pervaiz Butt rebuked Pakistani cricketer, Mohammad Hafeez, “Shut up and concentrate on cricket” a few days ago, during an all took to social media to laud PM Imran Khan.
“It’s better if you close your mouth and play cricket and don’t dwell on politics,” she tweeted.
However, Hafeez has chosen not to respond to her tweet.
Tensions have skyrocketed between the government and the opposition leaders after Dr Abdul Hafeez Shaikh failed the Senate election from Islamabad to former Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani.
In the following days, when the prime minister was able to win a vote of confidence from the parliament, Pakistani cricketer Mohammad Hafeez turned to Twitter to congratulate the prime minister.

The tweet perhaps didn’t sit well with PML-Hina N’s Pervaiz But, who lashed out at the cricketer, urging him not to talk politics, but instead to concentrate on cricket.
“Pakistan [cricket] has become a laughing stock all over the world for failure to adopt coronavirus SOPs, and now you’re helping a voting pirate,” Butt said on Twitter.
