PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif criticized the ruling party on Tuesday for targeting opposition leaders, saying that the behavior of PTI activists against Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Ahsan Iqbal, Musadik Malik, Miftah Ismail, Rana Sanaullah, and Marriyum Aurangzeb was a reflection of the political training provided to them by their leadership.

The PML-N leader said in a statement that the assault on PML-N legislators was the most deplorable act.

“The recent series of attacks reflects the despair, anger and real essence of the leadership of the PTI, which had turned to violence after all other instruments of repression had failed,” said the leader of the opposition in the National Assembly.

He expressed gratitude to the undying support loyalty of the PML-N leadership to the party’s political philosophy, bravery, and high spirits.

He called on the nation to unequivocally denounce the hooliganism of the PTI, adding that such acts were a challenge to civil stability in the region.

“Arrogant and merciless Imran Khan seeks to avenge his mistakes and prejudices by putting the country to daggers by drawing people against each other,” said Shehbaz. He also added that it was deeply worrying and tragic that the country was being plunged into “anarchy, polarization and moral degeneration” simply because of Imran Khan’s petty political agenda and revenge.

recently, as the ruling party and its associated legislatures assembled in the National Assembly for a vote of confidence for Prime Minister Imran Khan, PTI workers outside the National Assembly clashed with PML-N workers who had come to the National Assembly for a press conference.

As the PML-N leaders began to talk, they were engulfed by a furious mob who tried to drown them out with slogans in support of the Prime Minister and the government.

The situation became ugly as senators and members of the PTI began to pressure each other and exchange heated words.

A shoe was also hurled at Ahsan Iqbal as he stood on the stage and yelled slogans criticizing the government.

TV footage revealed that Musaddiq Malik was struck from behind and that he and Shahid Khaqan Abbasi were chasing down the man who pushed them to inflict any retaliatory blows.
