On Pakistan Day, 23rd March, President Arif Alvi calls on the country to honor the IIOJK’s Kashmiri brothers and sisters.

In his messages on the occasion of Pakistan Day, President Dr. Arif Alvi urged the nation to continue efforts to make the country fully democratic and a welfare state.

The President reaffirmed his commitment to making Pakistan a stronger and more stable nation. He urged people to recognize their Kashmiri brothers and sisters, who are facing the harshest modes of repression and state-sanctioned terrorism.

The President said that the world must pay attention to India’s flagrant human rights abuses in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

He claims that settling the Jammu and Kashmir conflict in line with applicable UN Security Council resolutions is the path to long-term stability in South Asia.

It is important to note that the 81st Pakistan Day is being observed with simplicity today (Tuesday) in the midst of an increase in coronavirus cases and a commitment to combat the disease as it spreads through the world.

Pakistan Day is an important date in the country’s culture. Every year on March 23, Pakistan Day commemorates the passing of the Lahore Resolution, which resulted in the establishment of a separate homeland for Muslims in South Asia in 1947.

The Pakistan Resolution Day, as it was known at the time, was passed on March 23, 1940.

After Fajr prayers, special dua ceremonies were held in mosques to pray for the eradication of the coronavirus as well as for the country’s unity, dignity, and prosperity.

The day started with a 31-gun salute in the country’s capital, and a 21-gun salute in each of the province capitals.

As a precaution, all public events commemorating Pakistan Day, including the showpiece military parade, have been postponed.

The Pakistan Day parade has been postponed for two days due to poor weather predictions, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR). It will now take place on March 25.
