Pakistan’s education and health ministers will make a decision today about whether or not to reopen or close schools.

In Pakistan, the increased number of cases of Coronavirus has prompted officials to address the students’ wellbeing.

Shafqat Mehmood, the Federal Minister of Education, announced on Sunday that education and health ministers would meet at the National Command and Operation Center on Wednesday (NCOC).

In a meeting earlier this week, the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) voted to tighten controls on operations, resulting in a dramatic rise in covid positivity.

Asad Umar, the Federal Minister of Planning, declared the meeting in a tweet. Provincial and ICT authorities have already been told to tighten up on SOP enforcement and clamp down on any breaches that occur, he wrote.
