Karachi: Careem has recently released a new feature in its Super App to offer its users to arrange a ride to any Covid19 vaccination centre anywhere in Pakistan with just two taps.
The new “Get vaccinated” option includes details from the official government source on the vaccines being offered in the country.
Through the new tool, anyone can call the nearest vaccination center via the app and schedule a hassle-free ride,
Moreover, people can circumvent all traffic and parking issues.
CEO and Country General Manager, said Zeeshan Baig, Careem Pakistan “We are grateful to the local and federal government that has put in tremendous efforts to provide easy accessibility for citizens to get vaccinated. We wanted to play our role to encourage people of Pakistan who want to get vaccinated by making that process easier.”
Careem has made this facility available in all 10 cities through which customers can access it directly on the home screen of the app.
This new tool is available underneath thumbnails of other rides, food, and delivery services. The app lets customers locate the nearest vaccination centre as well.
Careem paid attention to the increasing number of customers booking rides to vaccination centres, therefore, took a step to initiate a quick and hassle-free vaccination service.
So far, more than 10,000 customers have booked a Careem service to be vaccinated while 350,000 or more vaccines have been conducted in Pakistan according to data by Reuters COVID-19 Tracker.
Careem quickly created a specially dedicated squad including product managers, to improve the customer experience and support the government in providing vaccination.
The designers and engineers will build the world’s first vaccination transport feature in an app. Since new Covid-vaccination centres are established and they do not appear on maps therefore Careem has created an option.
Users with this new tool can easily find the nearest location, of the center phone number operating hours of each site and built that information into the new tool in Super App.
