Google is discontinuing the mobile Shopping applications for iOS and Android and redirecting consumers to its online Shopping store, according to 9to5Google. On Friday, Xda Developers noticed that the word “sunset” had been applied to some strings of code in the Shopping app, implying that the applications were being phased out.
According to a Google representative, the applications will remain operational until June. “Within the next few weeks, we will discontinue support for the Shopping app.
“The Shopping tab contains all of the features that the app provided users,” the spokesperson said. We’ll keep adding features to the Shopping tab and other Google surfaces, such as the Google interface. ” The shopping.google.com website will remain operational.

The app allowed users to shop from thousands of online retailers and pay with their Google accounts. to conveniently shop through thousands of stores and buy things using your Google Account.
On Sunday, this user discovered that the Android app was functioning properly, but other users were still receiving a “something went wrong” alert while attempting to use the Shopping app.

The smartphone Shopping app is just the most recent Google feature to be axed—reader (still bitter over that one), hangouts, plus—the list goes on and on.
