Saudi officials have announced that the moon of Ramadan has appeared in Saudi Arabia.

The first Roza in Saudi Arabia will be on Tuesday.

Saudi Arabia will mark the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan on Tuesday, according to state reports, as King Salman urged his subjects to follow coronavirus prevention steps.

Observers saw the new moon on Monday evening and announced it to religious officials, according to the state-run Al Ekhbariya TV.

After accepting the sighting, the Saudi Supreme Court declared Tuesday to be the first day of Ramadan.

During the coronavirus pandemic, Muslims are commemorating the second Islamic holy month.

The Saudi king urged all Muslims to join and praised all efforts to ensure the protection of Umra pilgrims during the upcoming holy month.

Al Ekhbariya quoted Saudi King Salman’s saying, “Ramadan comes this year as the world reels under coronavirus pandemic. We ask everyone to adhere to the (coronavirus) preventive measures and take the initiative to receive the vaccines,”
