Britney Spears has confirmed her engagement to Sam Asghari, her long-term beau.
The 39-year-old pop star took to her Instagram handle where she shared a her picture with her fiancé showing off the ring.
Spears is suing to get her 13-year conservatorship, which governs her personal life as well as her finances. She has also divulged that according to the terms of the arrangement she cannot marry Mr Asghari or have more children.
Jamie Spears, her father, filed documents in a Los Angeles court last week to end the conservatorship. A court date has been set for September 29. The concerns about her mental health led to her being placed under conservatorship in 2008.
Mr. Asghari, who is 27, is a fitness trainer and actor. He also shared a photo of the engagement ring. Moreover, his manager also confirmed the news about their their engagement to People Magazine.

Britney and Sam first met in 2016 on the set of a music video, Slumber Party. It was only after this video that the series of meetings between the two began.
The singer has already married twice. In 2004, she married Jason Alexander, a childhood acquaintance, in Las Vegas, but the marriage was shortly dissolved.
She married dancer Kevin Federline later that year, with whom she has two children. In 2007, the couple divorced.
