The Egyptian city, Sharm el Sheikh witnessed the COP27 this year and it was decided between UAE and Egypt to build a giant wind farm.

The conference of COP27 is held  to raise the issues about climate change and coming up with their solutions with numerous world leaders.

An agreement was signed because of this conference between United Arab Emirates and Egypt to develop one of the largest wind projects in Egypt.

The contract was signed between Masdar which is UAE’s renewable energy firm and Hassan Allam Utilities which is the Egypt’s renewable energy firm.

The contract suggests that this wind farm would produce 47,790 GWh of clean energy.

It will also reduce the carbon dioxide emissions by 23.8 million tonnes, which makes up almost 9% of Egypt’s current carbon dioxide emission.

This wind farm project would save Egypt’s $5 billion of gas costs.

The first step of this project will be to develop a green Hydrogen manufacturing facility.

After this project, Egypt would be able to reduce carbon dioxide emissions and save vast amount of energy and produce clean energy for better environment.
